CHILDREN FOR ADOPTION
We kindly ask for help to children who, for various reasons, have lost their adoptive parent or are new to OMDC. The most common reasons why a child gets into adoption are changes in family circumstances, illness, death, loss of employment in the case of parents or guardians, but also reasons such as saving girls from forced marriage. We will be grateful for your help. Each child is given the amount needed to for adoption and brief information such as name, age, background, etc. More adoptive parents can share the amount. For administrative reasons, the lowest possible amount for adoption is CZK 350. The maximum amount per child is CZK 1,400.

CHILDREN ALREADY ADOPTED
At the moment, there are 120 children under the protection of the OMDC Endowment Fund.
You can find children who are in our adoption and have sponsors here.
All children adopted via OMDC are entitled to education and full care from the OMDC staff in Kenya.
SUCCESSFULLY FINISHED ADOPTIONS
Thanks to sponsors’ regular help, several children managed to stand on their own feet. They gained education, upbringing, love and understanding. All this thanks to the constant help of all of you who have decided to support them. We are extremely grateful and happy that several of our children have already successfully completed the sponsorship program and set out on their own journey through life. It is a result of hard work and mainly they are proof that it makes sense. Thank you very much on their behalf!
GENERAL INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
If you have decided to help our child or children, here is some general information.
The money you send is only allocated to children. It pays for pay tuition fees and basic needs such as uniforms – each school has a different uniform. Furthermore, school shoes and shoe cleaners, laundry soap, so that children learn to care for their belongings, toiletries and school supplies. Basic medical care, food, bed linen, etc. are also included in the amount.
Mr. Pergl goes to Kenya once a year to see the children and brings them letters from you, their sponsors. You will always be informed about his trip in advance by email. You can then send letters for your children to the endowment fund address. Please understand that it is better to send letters by mail rather than by email. The cost of printing is quite high for such a number and some photos of you and your family can be added to the envelope, which will surely please the children. Another way to keep communicating with children during the year is a so called e-letter. Just send your letter to email@example.com and it will be forwarded to your child in Kenya. As soon as they the children write back, their letters return to us at the endowment fund, from where we will forward them to your email. For reasons of the law, which we must obey, it is not possible to maintain direct communication with the children, the correspondence must always go through the OMDC endowment fund. The children remain in the Fund until they graduate from high school. Adoption, therefore, does not end at the age of 18, as many children started school at a later age. After a mutual agreement it is then possible to cooperate even during university studies.
In case you would like to go to Kenya together with Mr. Pergl to visit your child and also the others, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. It is possible after an individual agreement with Mr. Pergl. Every extra helping hand counts, and it would make the children happy. However, we would like to point out that this journey would be on your own expense, unfortunately it is not possible to sponsor the visit from our side.
If you have any questions, please email email@example.com or call +420 737 835 141.
What is long-distance adoption?
Maybe you can’t change the world, but you can change the life of a small child. The problems faced by children in developing countries, namely Kenya, are different, but the cause is always the same – POVERTY. You can participate in creating happier tomorrows for children suffering from poverty and unfortunate fate. Long-distance adoption is a true exchange of cultures, understanding and love.
With your sponsorship you will provide your child with food, accommodation, tuition, medical care, personal and school supplies. All this effort is returned to you by the children in the form of letters, certificates, so that you know how they are doing at the school, which they can attend thanks to you and to receive their current photos.
How to adopt a child?
